Why Backtest Micro Nasdaq Futures?

MNQ is the contract many Nasdaq traders use to practice sizing and rules with smaller dollar swings.

The Same Index at One Tenth the Size

MNQ tracks the Nasdaq-100 at the same price as NQ, but each point is worth $2 instead of $20. Your NQ levels and setups carry over, while every simulated loss and gain is ten times smaller in dollars.

Position Sizing in Small Steps

With $0.50 per tick, MNQ lets you practice scaling in, scaling out and partial closes with several contracts, so you can rehearse a sizing plan before you trade it anywhere else.

Evaluation-Style Rule Practice

Challenge Mode on Pro runs an MNQ replay under evaluation-style rules: profit target, trailing or daily drawdown, daily loss limit and consistency. Every balance is simulated, and you can repeat a rule set as often as you like.

Real Sessions, Replayed Bar by Bar

Replay real historical MNQ sessions from 1x to 50x, place simulated orders as the candles form, and review the result in the trade journal and analytics dashboard.

Micro Nasdaq Futures Backtesting FAQ

What is MNQ?

How much is one MNQ point and tick worth?

What is the difference between MNQ and NQ?

Both track the Nasdaq-100 and trade at the same price. NQ is worth $20 per point ($5 per tick); MNQ is worth $2 per point ($0.50 per tick). Ten MNQ contracts equal one NQ in dollar terms.
